SNI 13-5014-1998 coal reserves

Sunday, 1 November 2009

According SNI 13-5014-1998 coal reserves are divided into two, namely:

1. Probable Coal Reserves
Coal resources and partly appointed measured coal resources, but based on feasibility study of all relevant factors have been fulfilled so that the results declared worthy of study.

2. Proved Coal Reserves
Measured coal resources based on feasibility study of all relevant factors have been fulfilled so that the results declared worthy of study.

There are three types of coal reserves of the resources that need to be measured in addition to the above note by Australian standards, namely:

1. Mineable Reserves
In situ coal reserves of measured or indicated reserves that can be mined for environmental considerations, government regulations and current technology.

Basic calculation of mineable reserves:
a. The minimum thickness of coal layers economical taken
b. Thickness of soil cover (overburden)
c. The coal quality specifications in accordance with the sales
d. Maximum depth planning tools tailored to existing conditions
e. Open pit mining methods or underground mining
f. Peeling or stripping ratio ratio of mining coal prices and the cost of current operations

2. Recoverable Reserves
Mineable coal reserves of which must mineable cost calculation based on a set of mining operations today.

Basic calculation of recoverable reserves:
a. Optimum coal to be mined economically
b. The maximum overburden is transported to disposal area based on mining the slope factor, landslide, control of surface water disposal and road construction
c. The coal quality specifications in accordance with the sales
d. The maximum depth mine planning adapted to the conditions and the amount of work means that there
e. Open pit mining methods or underground mining
f. Mining a maximum recovery factor of 90% for open pit from 50% - 60% for underground mining
g. Peeling or stripping ratio is defined as the ratio is based on the consideration of the sale price of coal with current costs

3. Marketable Reserves (Reserve Terpasarkan)
Recoverable reserves of coal reserves that can be sold on the calculation of the Run of mine (ROM), coal blending and coal quality.

Marketable reserves the basic calculation is:
a. Optimum coal is transported to the stockpile
b. Optimum usual coal sold at the discretion of coal quality specifications demanded by the buyer or the sale of the current contract.
c. The quality of coal to determine the selling price of coal currently
